The Law Office of Terri Mandel, P.C.

We are a modern law firm but we practice in the old fashioned sense of being our clients’ trusted legal advisors for a wide variety of areas of law. Women owned and operated, we are also owners in a business run by Steve Mandel, called TJS Consulting, the parent of an online licensing website for artists, inventors and writers called Simply Licensed.  Steve, an attorney with an MBA and a background of in-house licensing experience, provides business and licensing consulting services to the law firm as well.   We provide quality, competent, creative and cost-effective legal service.   And  you will like working with us. 

We are members of: the California Bar, the Georgia Bar and the Minnesota Bar including both State and Federal courts and have appeared pro hac vice (temporary status) in courts across the country as well. 

In 2005, her alma mater  Hamline University School of Law presented Ms. Mandel with the Distinguished Alumni Award for "exemplifying Hamline's commitment to ethical leadership and service."  Jodi and Terri are proud to have been the first mother-daughter alums of Hamline University School of Law, from which Steven also obtained his J.D. 

Who We Are:

Terri R. Mandel, Esq.:  Terri has over twenty-seven years experience as a lawyer, primarily a litigator with extensive trial experience, a member of the management team of a large law firm, and, for the past six years, the owner of her own law firm handling commercial transactions, litigation and intellectual property matters. Terri has obtained precedent setting motion practice and trial victories in environmental, class actions, and franchise disputes. A trained mediator, Terri successfully employs those skills to resolve disputes expeditiously.  Terri is also one of the founders of TJS Consulting, the parent of Simply Licensed. She  brings to these varied businesses, and to her entertainment and art business clients, a depth of experience in negotiations and problem solving and  enjoys the opportunity to put her knowledge of best businesses practices to use in building her own businesses. 

Jodi M. Chall, Esq.: Jodi has practiced law for almost thirteen years.  She spent her first five years in practice at a large insurance defense firm as a litigator representing everyone from individuals to large businesses in everything from car accident claims to securities fraud.  Since joining her mom, Terri, she has represented small business owners, musicians and songwriters, record labels, management companies, artists, and manufacturing companies in all their business matters.  Jodi is also an owner of TJS Consulting and Simply Licensed and believes her diverse business interests give her a better understanding of her clients' challenges.
